It looks like I’ll be eating pasta and microwave pizza for the next two weeks. This past weekend was the Renegade LA Craft and it was amazing.  Young crafters from all over were there to show off their best.  Joni had the difficult task of making sure I didn’t spend all my money on the first row of sellers (which I totally wanted to do).  There were many times where she’d have to trick me and say, “why don’t we look around first and come back after?”  We all know that’s parent-code for “No.” So bless Joni’s heart for keeping me in check and not letting me blow my entire rent this weekend.

We got there around 11:30am (half an hour after it opened) and it was already packed. There were so many great designers from all over the country, plus a few of my favorites from the Long Beach craft fair last month.

By 2pm, I was sunburnt and broke.  Oh well, I scored lots of good loot!

Best free weekly party? Acid Wash at SOHO, hands down. I mean, come on, dancing your ass off to 80′s music hits (hello George Michael, Hall & Oates, New Order)! Doesn’t get any better than that.They’re even doing a special theme this week in celebration of Valentine’s Day (or anti-Valentine’s Day, depending on your mood). Be on the lookout for Do Something Tonight’s Ana (La Cutie), she ALWAYS has the best outfits for this kind of stuff!

Dress like it’s 80′s prom, best outfit wins a little something.

This weekend is the second Sunday of the month and you know what that means! Time for Sun-daze at the Manifest!

Presented by CASA & DowneTowne, Jameson, Absolut, Malibu, and Bootigroove.com, SUN-DAZE is the best way to unwind after a long week! There’s *NO COVER*, it’s 21 and over, and doors open from 4-10pm.

Take advantage of the Bloody Mary bar from 4-6pm, there’s also drink specials – $4 Absolut and Malibu. Drink, dance, hang out. SUN-DAZE is all about having a good time with some good people. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Gay, Straight, Bisexual, Transgender, House heads, Music Lovers, Blue People, well, you get the idea.

DJ Dawn, Badmouth, and Jr. Waikiki will be on decks spinning kick ass music.

I didn’t know what to expect when I went to Pearlridge for Thrill the World (Honolulu), but I knew I’d have fun. What can I say, I’m a sucker for Michael Jackson. I knew I wouldn’t be brave enough to do the zombie dance, so I figured I’d tap my foot along with the music and snap some pictures.

It was adorable to see the sea of children (many dressed as zombies) doing the zombie walk to MJ. I even admit to getting a little teary eyed seeing them dance. Seriously, this is what Michael Jackson’s music is all about: coming together, dancing, and above all, having a great time.
