Here Comes 2010 and DowneTowne’s Tribute To Event Tonight at Bar35!

Happy New Year’s, everyone! I hope everyone is having a food coma inducing holiday and spending some quality time with their loved ones. With 2010 here, I thought I’d take a chance to reflect on the past year and share my goals for the future.

2009 was a rough year for me, especially on my health. In the beginning of the year, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (sorry if I’ve grossed any of you out!). I spent most of the this year trying to get myself back to 100%, doing all kinds of not fun tests, and taking so many different meds that people tease me that I carry around a pharmacy. This is not a *boo hoo* rant, trust me. I’m actually really grateful that I was finally diagnosed because now I can focus on ways to get better. My friends and family have been really supportive and patient when I’m sick, re-arranging their eating schedules (which I know is a pain), being flexible with plans we make (or don’t make), and just being awesome about it all. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you and how much I appreciate it.

I have some big plans for 2010. I want to start shooting regularly again, even if it means documenting my boring adventures to the grocery store. 2010 will be about finding the little things I love about Hawaii and sharing it with you all. Here’s to a prosperous 2010!
