Michael Jackson Tribute from the VMA’s
Seems the twitter universe and most of the internet is talking about Kanye West’s rude and extremely disrespectful interruption during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech. I unfortunately (and fortunately, depending on how you look at it) missed it because I was hanging out at Sun-daze at the Manifest on Sunday, so thank god for internet videos!
My favorite part in this tribute is during the last song, Scream, which is a duet Michael Jackson did with Janet years ago. There’s a dance sequence in the original video where they’re dancing side by side that I really loved. During the tribute, there was a big screen behind the dancer that played whichever video they were dancing to. When Janet came out to dance her part during the song Scream, the big screen had the video playing (but with Janet removed) and the camera was angled to look like Janet and Michael were–like the original video–dancing together. It’s such a sad and touching moment. So if you haven’t seen the video yet, here’s your chance.

I know you can't see my face, but I figure most people will recognize me as the big cheeks behind the camera. My name is Kristel. This blog, much like my life, is a work in progress. I take pictures at events around town and I'm big on candid photos. Nice to meet you.
