Now This is Love
I’ve been terrible at updating, I know, but I do have lots to share. A couple of weeks ago my friend Eleni emailed me. I hadn’t heard from her in a while and the message was short: she was getting married. I had met her girlfriend, Jen, the last time they were in town. They’re the kind of couple you immediately feel at ease with.
So Kimi and I drove (and also got lost) to Waimanalo and met her family at a nearby beach for the ceremony. It was slightly overcast, but that was actually perfect weather for us. It was still bright, but the sun wasn’t beating down on me (or so I thought then). The woman who performed the ceremony, Kalona, was really sweet. We had a great talk afterwards–she actually said she does a lot of commitment ceremonies and that we were actually at her favorite wedding spot.
Anyway, the reception was intimate and lowkey. I remember driving home that night and feeling really happy.

I know you can't see my face, but I figure most people will recognize me as the big cheeks behind the camera. My name is Kristel. This blog, much like my life, is a work in progress. I take pictures at events around town and I'm big on candid photos. Nice to meet you.
