Blaisdell’s Shockhouse Review
So last night, I was able to convince trick five of my friends to come with me to Blaisdell’s Shockhouse. Got there around 7:30pm and the line wrapped around the Exhibition Hall (see above). Tickets were $10.50 each (cash only). We tried to get pre-sale tickets at Times, but were told they don’t sell tickets for the same day. Pre-sale tickets are $7.50, I think, so if you can get those, you should.
The ad boasts 10 rooms of terror, but I don’t think I saw all of them. Although, I distinctly remember seeing the Saw Torture Chamber where a creepy masked guy followed us around. When I talked to my friends after, though, it seem everyone’s experiences combined was what the ad described. I guess we all took turns ducking down, screaming, and just trying to get the hell out of there.
I really loved the themed rooms (especially the bedroom of Emily Rose–that really freaked me out).
I definitely recommend it if you go with a group of people, you’re brave, or you go with someone who will protect you. It says children under 5 are free, but I don’t recommend taking 5 year olds (unless you want them to leave the place crying).
For more information, check out my original entry here.
In terms of parking, you can try and find street parking or just park at the Blaisdell for $6.
Next week, I’ll be checking out the Haunted Lagoon Canoe Ride (at PCC) and hopefully that very, VERY scary Haunted Plantation down in Waipahu. Will keep you all posted!

I know you can't see my face, but I figure most people will recognize me as the big cheeks behind the camera. My name is Kristel. This blog, much like my life, is a work in progress. I take pictures at events around town and I'm big on candid photos. Nice to meet you.
